QUOTES:

"Anyone can become angry. That is easy. But to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose and in the right way- that is not easy."
Aristotle

The greatest part of our happiness depends on our dispositions, not our circumstances.

Susan J. Bissonette:

"An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves."
Bill Vaughan

This picturs cools my off just looking at it:

Whether you think you can or think you can't -- you are right." -Henry Ford ------

If people talk negatively about you, live so that no one will believe them." -??? ------
We will discover the nature of our particular genius when we stop trying to conform to our own or to other people's models, learn to be ourselves, and allow our natural channel to open. -- Shakti Gawain

RIORITIES: Sometimes we can feel overwhelmed with our lives, the daily struggle of just 'getting through it' whatever our circumstances may be and those of our loved ones. In today's world we need to take the 'moment ' if that is all we have and make the most of it. Use it to clear our minds and take a deep breath, and then we can FOCUS on PRIORITIES. Some of us think as we race to and fro that we know our priorities and we automatically rush to obtain and meet them, but we do not always see our lives in an objective way because we are living in 'the moment', and it rushes by so fast, that we 'assume' what our priorities are and do not give it another thought; continuing on and on sometimes wondering what is it all for? what is it all about? where is the real happiness? Is there even such a thing? In this society we are exposed to many things which lead us to believe that; happiness is many 'things' a luxury car' a new house' a 'perfect family' a perfect body' and much more , it is almost impossible to live up to these expectations and this can make us feel like failures if we do not have the 'perfect' life' well, there is no 'perfect life' and once one understands this and realizes there is a way to come as close as possible to it and find what REALLY matters, then happiness will ensue

QUOTE for the moment:
(one of my favorites)

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

CHALLENGES: WE FACE THEM EVERYDAY: FOR EACH OF US THEY VARY IN THEIR INTENSITY. MANY HAVE DIFFERENT THOUGHTS ON CHALLENGES. SOME BELIEVE THEY ARE 'TESTS' FOR US, OTHERS BELIEVE IT IS SIMPLY BAD LUCK, PART OF LIFE, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. NO MATTER, THEY ARE THERE AND HAVE TO BE DEALT WITH. MANY PEOPLE CAN HANDLE THESE CHALLENGES AND GO ON WITH 'LIFE AS USUAL' BUT THOSE WHO HAVE A MORE DIFFICULT TIME, PERHAPS CHRONIC ILLNESS OR A FAMILY MEMBER WITH ONE- NEED SUPPORT, AND OCCASIONAL RESPITE FROM THE STRESS OF DEALING WITH IT. ACCEPTING OUR 'CHALLENGE' IS THE FIRST STEP. ONCE ALL AVENUES HAVE BEEN EXHAUSTED AND YOU HAVE TRIED (AND CONTINUE TO TRY) TO FIND HELP, YOU LOOK OBJECTIVELY AT YOUR SITUATION AND SEE WHAT YOU CAN AND CANNOT HANDLE. THEN YOU MAKE A PLAN. HOW CAN I FIND HELP IN DEALING WITH THIS? WHO CAN HELP ME? IF YOU HAVE NO ONE, LOOK ON THE NET, IF NO COMPUTER, IN THE YELLLOW PAGES, YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED HOW MANY SUPPORT AND STATE RUN GROUPS THERE ARE, CALL ONE AND EXPLAIN WHAT YOU NEED, KEEP CALLING UNTIL YOU HIT THE RIGHT ONE. SOMETIMES WE NEED A THERAPIST TO HELP US EMOTIONALLY. THERE ARE WEB-BASED SUPPORT GROUPS AS WELL. THE ATTITUDE WE CARRY IS SO IMPORTANT THAT WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO GET IT IS WORTH TRYING FOR. WE HAVE THE REST OF OUR LIVES TO LIVE. WHY NOT LIVE THEM AS HAPPILY AS POSSIBLE. EVERY LITTLE JOY SHOULD BE TREASURED, REMEMBERED, AND HELP US TO FOCUS ON WHAT IS REAL IN LIFE, WHAT IS TRUE. (MORE TO COME)...

We all live with stress. Some of us more than others, and some do not even realize it. Because we run through the day so quickly, racing to or from work or where ever, perhaps living with an illness or caring for someone with one, each which carries a heavy burden, sometimes we don't take the time to stop- sit back and think about our true priorities. After all life is short, very short. Yesterday is gone forever, we have today, we have tomorrow (although it is not promised,) and we have to realize -what is most important to us? The desire to 'do' something we have wanted to and if has been so long wehave left in the dust.? Our family? That visit to someone who you have been saying you would for so long, Spending that precious time with our chldren who grow so fast and every day that goes bis lost chance to see them grow and more importantly make memories that last a life time. Our dreams? Think, real priorities, they mean different things for everyone. Although you would be surprised how similar they really are. Running the rat race to keep bread on the table is one thing- but even the professional racer knows he/she has to stop and take a drink of water once in a while, and that there is a time when the race is over, and he/she stops, takes a breath, then leaves that race and goes to a place and/or to someone and/or lofestyle where he/she is ' home'. Although the race seems like it means everything to them, (and to some it unfortunately does), the majority know there is more to life than just the 'race''.
more to come...
